About Welcome Blanket

The Welcome Blanket Project aims to connect people already living in the United States with our country’s newest immigrants through stories and handmade blankets, providing both symbolic and literal comfort and warmth. By participating in this project, people will also come together to talk about immigration policy and how it affects real-live people.

All are welcome to get involved in positive, pro-active, civic-based art-making.

 

Where do Welcome Blankets go?

A large part of Welcome Blanket project is connecting with refugee resettlement agencies to gift these incredible welcome blanket packages to our newest neighbors. These organizations are on the ground and best understand their needs and we are honored to be partnering with them. Welcome Blanket aims to give in a way that is easy to receive.



Who receives Welcome Blankets?
